?? Are their certain signs to look for when you know it is becoming intense...too much too soon?

What do you mean by "intense"?
I think if "I love you"s are being exchanged in Week 2, that's too intense.
I think if things have moved into the bedroom before a TRUE emotional relationship develops, that's too intense. (Mind you, that's only in the case of 2 people who are looking to be in a relationship--not situations in which the bedroom is the only goal.)
It kind of depends on what your idea of intense is.
