Me and this girl from work I like use to text a lot before but now I find texting annoying so I cut back. But whenever we're working together we can't stop talking and she seems happy when we're talking.
So is it okay if I don't text her alot and just talk to her in person

Well, is that not actually preferable? If you like her, ask her out and try to escalate this relationship in some direction. She seems to like you so don't reject her by being too passive...
