You are what your ears eat. And also, what they tell you to throw up.

lol, that's kind of one dimensional don't ya think? I listen to all sort of music, encluding emo..but I don't drown myself in sorrow and puke my food out everytime I get, and quite frankly niether does anyone I know. That being said, sure some people are dumb and influental, but it takes just a little more then music to do that lol.

How does it even bother you that other people don't eat or throw up?

Hmmm... honestly, I've never really thought about it.

I guess it more just interests me. The emo culture is FILLED with depression, and I don't think having an eating disorder is a good way for those poor kids to feel better about themselves. Rather, they should pick up the three P's:

    Philosophy, Pot, and Pizza.

    And then life will rock!

Pot... I've actually had to lay off the ganja for a while; been trying to get a job. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a waiting job in San Diego! Seems that's what everyone wants to do. It does pay rather well.

Been having to shave the facial hair too... very sad. Every drag of the razor feels like someone is slashing away at my soul.

Man, I don't even know who I am right now!

    Oh wait, that's right, God.

    Paix.

No >17 year old kid is "into" philosophy.

It's just a bunch of "I get it, you don't, therefore I am cool" attention garnishing that rolls along right with the same kind of nonsensical bullshlt that "Emo" does.

When I was in High School it was the same bullshit - except it was the revival of the Doors, R.E.M.'s big hits, the Beatles, the Who, Pink Floyd, and a bunch of other garbage music that either made no godamn sense unless you were either high or wanted to be "different".

Message to Emo-kids - There is nothing special or "individual" about any of you. The goths, punks, skaters and hippies before you have already done it all already.

Get over yourself already and stop rallying behind the most unoriginal banner that ever was, is, or likely will be.

    The End.

I'm not saying those guys are an example of music that makes no sense. Im saying that it was them and a bunch of other bands that sang songs with words thrown together in some kind of a jumble and pawned it off as music.

Unfortunately those bands in particular also made a "comeback" at that time as well.

Alone, listless. Breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.
Young girl, violence. Center of her own attention.
The mother reads aloud, child tries to understand it.
    Tries to make her proud.
The shades go down. It's in her head.
Painted room. Can't deny there's something wrong.

'What's the frequency, Kenneth?' is your Benzedrine, uh-huh
Butterfly decal, rear view mirror, dogging the scene
You smile like the cartoon, tooth for a tooth
You said that irony was the shackles of youth
You wore a shirt of violent green, uh-huh
I never understood the frequency, uh-huh
You wore our expectations like an armored suit, uh-huh

    Feelin' uninspired
    Think I'll start a fire
    Everybody run
    Bobby's got a gun
    Think you're kinda neat
Then she tells me I'm a creep
    Friends don't mean a thing
Guess I'll leave it up to me

    etc...etc....etc...
