Not sure if I'm ready for another relationship

Hey all,

I am so confused right now it's becoming somewhat depressing. I'm 25 years old, I'm a father of 2 boys (they live with their mother, who I was with for almost 4 years), and I'm a student pediatric nurse. I had a brief relationship before I started university but that fizzled out and we went our separate ways. I then kind of made a promise with myself before I started uni that I wouldn't have a relationship with anyone through fear of distraction or pushing them away, but in reality, it's alot harder than I anticipated. I've been single for a long time now and I just want to get back out there, but at the same time I also want to put as much dedication into my studies as possible, and seeing my kids 3-4 times a week doesn't spare much time for a relationship. I've been speaking to a girl for a short while now and I just don't know whether to take that step, it's clear she's interested, but I'm a little apprehensive.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
