    Recent breakup with girlfriend.

    Hi everyone!

    Okay so basically me and my girlfriend have just split up. We were together for 7 months and both loved each other - to be fair I probably loved her more than she loved me. Anyway I'm glad we've broken up because things haven't been great with us for a while and to be honest throughout our whole relationship I never felt secure which is strange because that has been something I've never worried about before - if she hadn't have broken up with me I think I would of with her because I couldn't take it anymore.

    The problem is that while Im glad the breakup has occurred that doesn't make it any easier to get rid of the feelings I still have for her - another issue is we share the same friends so I can hardly talk to them about it because I don't want her knowing, I also can't see them as much because they will be seeing her, which doesn't help.

    Anyway my question is - how can I get over this and what's the best way for me to move forward, Im more or less fine until my mind becomes inactive and I start thinking about her and cannot get the image of her with someone else out of my mind. I'm slightly concerned about this evening because it will be the first night since our breakup that I have nothing to do and am staying in.

    Any advice would be great.

    ^ this guy hit it on the mark!

    On a more serious note, your relationship was short. You need to accept the fact that you two where not right for each other and move on. If you don't, your going to drift away from your friends because of a 7 month relationship. Just do what the guy said above several times a week, and in no time, you will be feeling amazing!
