    do you regret?

okay so i'm wondering after browsing around a bit, does anyone regret their first person they had sex with?

i know i didn't. i dated the guy for a year and i helped him deal with a major accident, once healed we did. i was scared out of my mind being 16 and all innocent. but i still never regret it.
plus it was more awesome after we hooked back up a few years later. *wink*

    so what about you???

I'm still a virgin and can't see myself ever having sex in the future.

For quite a while after the breakup with my ex I did. The reason being, is I'm unsure of how much/if she actually values that I gave her my virginity. And that's something (for some reason) I always thought was important.

Don't get me wrong, she's actually the only person I've ever been in love with, so maybe its appropriate, that my first love also be my *first*. In that sense I think its good.

In retrospect I would have done things differently. Not saying I wouldn't have slept with her. Just maybe not as soon...or such.

Also as a side, this forum has allowed me to let go of whatever regret I may have had, more then I could ever have imagined!!!

i would tell people who regret losing their virginity that, you were in love or atleast thought you were in love at the time of sex. it is a mistake that you will have to live with for the rest of your life, but don't let it bother you so much because the more you think about it, the more it will eat you up inside. raverboy

Nope, it was the most intense, yet exciting moment of my life. I never felt more alive during that moment. The person I first had sex with, I'm back together. (You guys may remb. my post in the dumping section about a monht or two ago) But now our wonderful realtionship continues. (not counting the break, working on 2 years)

Hell even if I wasn't with her, I would never regret it, and I told her that.

Raverboy, I must say you have the knack for stating the obvious...

basically i try to be blunt. there are times that i beat around the bush, but hopefully it doesn't come out that way because it's a waste of time. i say how i feel, which sometimes upsets people i admit, lol. but if you ask for an opinion, i state how i feel.

Illusional can be blunt, but he's not the master of it. I believe IceQueen is the true master of giving direct and blunt advice.

true enough. actually what goes on this forum doesn't upset me at all!!!

I actually originally came on here, hoping to find advice on "how to get over something" rather then being just told "to get over it".

see the difference? so when I told Raverboy, that he stated the obvious, someone who regrets something, knows they can't go back on the decision made. what i think is important is to help the person live in the future rather then in the past regret.

but i must say that being blunt is good...very good. there's also a difference between being blunt and a bastard (or bitch). (wow !!! tee hee look at that alliteration)

anyway, thats off topic enough for this thread....anyone else have regrets?
