Don't know what to make of it

I emailed my emotionally unavailable boyfriend to tell him I cannot let him hurt me anymore. I have been open with him and I seem to be doing everything to keep the relationship together. I ended by saying I am sorry.
His reply was 'I love your spirit looks and intelligence and if this is IT then I will never forget you.
How does this sound to you???????????????? I am feelin very hurt.
