Texting your name in a message

    Hey Guys

This may be an odd question to ask but heck am gonna ask anyway.
There is this guy I know who I have come to like and not sure if its mutual 100% through dance class. Anyway usually if he needs to text me he would say "hey etc..." or "hi etcc..." or whatever. But for the first time he said hi XXXX (my name) which was nice but I just found it odd as he has NEVER used it.
    Any thoughts?
    Many thanks

I wouldn't assume that putting your name in a text means anything

If you're looking for indications that he's fond of you, look for things such as asking you out for dinner or coffee.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

it sounds like he was just saying hello and used your name, I wouldn't make anything huge out of it

Yeah, as a master of overanalyzing the minute details, this is no different than "OMGZ, they suddenly ended a sentence with a period, Does this mean they're mad at me?" It's a huge stretch, basically, to think there's anything really significant other than respect in it
Because we have to chase him. Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

IMO when someone goes out of their way to use my name, it means they say it out of importance or they are focusing their attention on me.

If that is how you felt, then it is quite possible that is what he is angling on, to feel you out by your response to it....you know trying something different to get a reaction.

Maybe he is aware of the old sales trick: say the customer's name often. Many people like to hear their name being said.

I like it when a guy calls me by my name, instead of , hun or babe or something!

This relationship is too dificult I cannot figure out why he used your name. You somehow have to solve it on your own, maybe even risk your life and TALK to him.

I wouldn't over-think it. Just take it for face value.

Just wait and see. Saying your name is not allot to go off of. Don't get your hopes up and don't become discouraged. Just be happy. Its simple really.
