Is it worth telling a crush, when you know you'll be shot down?

Is it worth telling a crush you like them, when you are certain you'll be shot down?

Personally I'm planning on tell her, just to get it off my chest, but I'm certain il'l be shot down...what are your experiences?

    Yes...

Even if you are shot down, at least you won't be stuck wondering what could have happened if you would have told her.
    Go for it. . .

The reason being, is that we don't hang out much, but it's me who's initiating the hangingout. When we are together things are great, great conversations, alot of laughing, and in all a great time.

When I do try to initiate the response is sometimes positive and other times, "well if plan A falls through."

but the reaon I've fallen for her, is that things are really good when we are together. its just that it doenst happen much.

I'm not sure that it is always worth telling them. Some people are implying that you'd have nothing to lose. Well, maybe that's true in your situation. But such thing can ruin friendships; and, making it public would mean that, say she started dating someone else, it would be harder to bare than if you'd kept it private because of the extra humiliation.

Who really cares what the answer is. Honestly... You're in for more long term pain by questioning yourself saying "What if?". I'd prefer to get it out in the open, so months or years down the road, I'll know I at least tried.

If you think your frienship can sustain a refusal than go for it. But it's important to evaluate the effects your declaration could cause.
