LR's E-dating practice thread - NO FEEDBACK HERE

LR is going to try his e-game on a few of us here. Some rules:

    1. If you are a potential date for LR, you must tell a bit about your 'type' to get things started. I will provide an example.

    2. This is NOT the feedback thread. There is another thread for that. Give your advice to LR there, NOT here. You are either LR, a datee, or an invisible reader in this thread. Go to the feedback thread to comment.

    3. The dates must act as if we don't know anything about the other dates (i.e. keep the dating 'subthreads' separate).

    4. If you aren't part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Be helpful or **** off, this applies to both threads.

    5. Have fun. Life isn't meant to be taken so seriously.

For LR -- if there is a specific date "type" you would like, create a post telling us so and hopefully someone will step up.

Hi, I'm a 20 year old female science student looking for a smart, caring guy to chat and have fun with. I like reading, cycling, skiing, all things science, Firefly, Star Trek and HowStuffWorks.

Did I mention I'm pretty cute, but not arrogant about it? Hit me up, Spock.

Wow, smart and cute *insert science joke about her being into science involving "density"; too tired to think of anything more*..I see you like "Firefly", too. Which is your favorite episode?
Because we have to chase him. Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

Hi LR, thanks for your message. Well, I like most of the Firefly episodes, and I like Inara's complex, compassionate character. Especially the one where she shows some skill with a sword. Martial arts is a hobby of mine. Tell me a bit more about yourself.

We're in a crowded pub and have been waiting in line quite some for drinks. You're standing beside me and I smile at you and say "wow, it's crowded here tonight"

Oh god, that's the worst..All I could muster is probably "Yeah" or "Sorry?" (because I have some hearing trouble)

Well, here's an example of what I might do in real life: at a Barnes & Nobles, if I see a girl holding say, Bertrand Russell's "A History of Western Philosophy"..."I see you're looking at Russell's "A History of Philosophy"...A pretty girl that is also philosophical? Your boyfriend?...is a lucky guy."

Hi there , thanks! Actually I haven't yet read Russell, but I'm thinking about it. Most of my exposure to philosophy comes from a course I had to take last semester on Ethics. Kant, Mill... means to an end, or not, that sort of thing. Do you recommend him?

*at this point I might nerd out and bore the girl, show too much interest and passion on the subject and/or be relegated to Friend Zone*

My boyfriend hates books, hes a basketball star. This book helps me forget daily drama in school. Thank you for asking. It was nice from you to come and talk to me

At the sound of "boyfriend" I'd turn and walk out of the store, get into my car or onto my bike and book it out of there.
