what if she doesnt say "i love you" back?

I have a girlfriend for almost 6 months now, and I think I love her, so I've been thinking of telling her that. Should I be the first to say it or should I wait for her to tell me first? And HOW on the world should I react if I say it to her and she doesn't says it back? What does one do in that situation?

Great question. This is always a risk - to tell someone you love them and then what happens if they don't respond to you in the same way. I think we just have to tell our feelings and let go of what happens after that. If she doesn't say she loves you, then you'll know that maybe this isn't a match for you because she is not connected emotionally. So, I hope you go ahead and tell her and let us know what happens. I agree with ann, it is a risk, one that we all have to take. IMO she is probably waiting for you to say it first because in most cases it takes the guy longer to get to that point than it does us (I know this is not always the case) and also if she isn't at the same place as you are it may be best to find out sooner rather than later, as much as it may hurt initially.
