    The grand romantic gesture

    Hi.

I have been dating my girlfriend for the last 3 months and we are madly in love. I am one for romantic gestures. Rose petals saying 'I love you' on the bed etc. In a weeks’ time i am cycling 700 miles for charity and was thinking of buying a personalised banner saying ‘I love you Gerry’ and then getting a photo of me holding it at the top of the Pyrenees mountains and sending it to her.

Just wanted to ask the lovely people on the forum to see if they think this would be a good idea or not a good idea?

    Thanks

    Andy

It's an amazing idea, if you love her so much, do it!
Remember one thing though, you`ll have to keep surprising her like this forever.

Go for it. And good luck with the cycle ride.

Only do it if she's equally romantic. If she's not a romantic like you, she may well find it over the top.

Incredibly bad idea unless you can keep up these "grand gestures" past your honeymoon phase

^^ true. It's important to start out as you intend to continue after the initial excitement has cooled off. Otherwise, she'll resent you for no longer doing those things.
