girlfriend doesnt let me pay

if i say hey i wanna take you out to dinner, she lets me. but if we go get ice cream or something she doesnt like it when i pay.

it bothers me because im her boyfriend and i WANT to pay. i do like that she doesnt want me to pay for everything but at times it can get frustrating

anyone else have issues like this?

we are both young and i think she realizes i aint made of money lol

theres nothing wrong with being a little equal. it shows shes independent which is a good thing. it would be 100 times worse if she expected you to pay for everything. you would be broke all the time so be thankful that shes not high maintenance.

If it really bothers you, you can insist in a cute way when she declines. She may just feel uncomfortable or guilty letting you pay.

The other night, I unexpectedly went on a few errands with the man I'm seeing. I did not have my bag with me, and in turn, did not have my wallet. He suggested that we go get something to eat, to which I replied "Oh, I don't have my wallet". He said "But I have mine!" I, feeling guilty, declined his offer to pay. I feel uncomfortable not paying for myself when it's not a date atmosphere.
