why do i get freaked out and clingy?

I get worried sometimes about my girlfriend that sometimes she will dump me, though I have no reason to think that and then I get clingy and can suffocate her. I can tell it happens because she gets distant and annoyed. It sucks because I don't wanna lose her.

I guess I just don't have alot of self confidence ya know?
