The american girl I like is a fan of Law and Order . What should I do ?

It's a great show no doubt . But I am an israeli and that show has many anti-semitic episodes and one of them even shows Israel in a bad light including the pro israeli lobby and portrays american jews as disloyal. Everyone who watches this show believes it . All fans of this show hate jews and Israel. So what should I do about her ? should I give up on her 'cause she hates jews and israelis now ?

It sounds like your problem stems your own misconceptions. I don't watch the show myself so I won't question whether it is sometimes anti-Semitic, but that's irrelevant because obviously not everyone (or even any kind of significant proportion) who watches the show will be an anti-Semite, just the same as everyone who watches Oceans Eleven doesn't support robbing casinos. It's very unlikely that she's an anti-Semite, so in other words, talk to her, ask her out! If she turns you down because you're Israeli, you can give up on her knowing that she's a racist ***** and that you therefore aren't missing out on anything. Hope that helps!

It's just a TV show. Why give it more importance than what it is - entertainment. I am sure she likes other TV shows too.

Okay, let me just say that that show is based on real life case stories from around the United States (I know that for a fact because distant cousins of ours had one based on an insurance company case they were involved in). So, when they alter it enough to make it fiction, they're only changing names and places and etc etc...not the outcome of the story itself. Therefore, they're not slanting it any which way. The above posters are right; your problem is your misconception. People are not going to be racist from a television show like that. If they do, they're obviously showing you they're just a bunch of ****ing idiots.

I guess it could find anti Semitism if you're looking really hard to find hate in things. Just as it could be against every other culture and social group which it shows a bad guy coming from.
