    Bi is irrelevant here.

If she were straight, would you be OK if she wanted another BF?

    Same thing.

You're being naïve to think she only has sex with women.

If she just had a hankering for snatch, she'd say that, or suggest a threesome.

She's saying she wants a GIRLFRIEND, which is a relationship, much like you are her BOYFRIEND.

    Dig?

A different issue could simply be that you aren't fulfilling her somehow. A lot of bi people have trouble settling with just a guy or a girl. However, I know a number of bi people who were like that and eventually found the right person and were able to settle down. I don't think you are that person for her if she doesn't want just you.

If you are truly concerned about being number 2, then I really think you need to have a serious conversation with her and see how she reacts, or find someone who wants only you.

    Luck to you.

My reply to her would have been, "Only if were talking about a threesome."

If you're willing to allow it, and you become number 2, then you had it coming. OR, you can tell her, YES, as long as you can have another girlfriend too. That would be an open relationship, and they can get tricky. Otherwise, move on, she's not for you.

What if you say yes, and her girlfriend has a boyfriend who wants a threesome?
Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from bad decisions.

You need to talk to her. Sexuality is complicated, it may be that she only has sexual attraction to women, not emotional. In which case it appears that you'd be fine with that. But then again, she may be the type of bi who also feels emotional attachment to a girl too (rare but possible), in which case she's asking permission for a poly relationship. By the way, it's not true to say all bi people are non monogamous. Although, it looks as though yours may be! Time to set some boundaries.

    Still totally irrelevant.

The point is that she WANTS to be with someone other than you.

Look, you're involved with someone who is bisexual. Which means one man will never be enough for her, and neither will one woman.

I think you probably started dating her, and thought you looked cool to tell your friends you were dating some "bi chick", but now that you see how that really plays out, ie. that she has sexual and emotional feelings for someone other than you, and of the opposite sex, so there is NO competition, you're bumming out.

Don't blame you, but I also wouldn't date a bisexual. Monogamy counts.

^ My thoughts exactly. If she's with you, she's with you, OP. Why would she want someone else if she's actually into you? The way I see it, she's trying to sleep around in a way that makes it okay. Same thing happened to my one friend. His boyfriend kept pushing for an open relationship, and when he refused, his boyfriend slept around anyway. This has bad news stamped all over it.

My advice? It does not matter what you do because its only a matter of time before she does it anyway. If I were you I would at least try to get a threesome out of the deal before she dumps your ass.
