i mentioned something about a past sexual event and my girlfriend said "no no i dont wanna hear about that"

its weird because she will tell me about hers.

why would it bother her so much

some people don't want details.. Personally it wouldn't bother me if a bf told me about past gfs as long as he only talked about it once when we have the initial dating history conversation.. It wouldn't make me jealous coz it is in the past

However I wouldn't like to hear "there is this thing my ex used to do that I want you to do... etc That is going too far.. If you want something-ask, just don't mention how good your ex was. That is common sense.

People like to feel like they are the best you ever had.. Nobody wants to think your ex was better. That just crushes self-esteem and causes insecurity.

I agree with Michelle.

The fact that she also tells you details, I don't know about that, but if your not bothered by it, then that could be why, but she is expressing her discontent fro hearing about that part of your past and rightfully so. If you want it even, just calmly tell her, you don't care about hers either, you just want to focus on the here and now, not the past and be nice about it, at the moment it seems harmless and keep it that way.

Wouldn't want you back here later, talking about a fight you with her over this.
