I'm a guy, and only 5'3. My doctor told me I probably won't grow anymore. What do I do? Do I get that bone surgery?

I got an X-ray and the doctor said it'll probably show that the plates in my hand have fused.

My father in law is 5'4 and is one of the most loved and confident guys I know. Height isn't everything. And looking on the positive, your height will immediately weed out the shallow women.

I'm 5'7 and dated a guy who's your height for a bit. It didn't work out, but his height was not the reason.

I might as well kill myself.

My mom is 5'5, and my dad's 5'8, so I feel like I should be taller.

Could me being born prematurely have been a factor in my height?

how old are you? Doctors don't know everything. Many men don't stop growing until there early 20's. I wouldn't recommend looking into surgery until you are 100% sure you are fully grown. Its not the end of the world. Height isn't everything

Did you even read basilandthyme's post? Cause it seems like you downright skipped it. She's right, you know. One of the hottest guys I know is shorter than me, and I'm average height for a girl. Another shorter guy I know had no trouble finding a girlfriend either. Height really isn't everything. Just be confident, happy, curious, passionate, good-hearted, fun... now those things actually matter.

But what makes him hot? does he have an extremely attractive face that makes up for his lack of height e.g.Tom Cruise or a charming personality? perhaps OP is short and ugly.

Well it's not so much his looks as his personality... he's like one of the most confident guys I've ever met, very contagious sense of humor, charming, etc.

There are two things in life you really can't change, your age and your height (unless you're Tom Cruise, and who would want that?!) learn to just accept that you're 5'3, that kind of surgery is not what you want to be doing.
