Well, in the US legal is 18-19 so thats what you see in porn. Also, since I was 17 I've been told I look to be in my mid 20s because my beard grew in quickly. Older women found me attractive all the time... even to this day they are more my demographic... older ladies love me.

That's a good point. A friend of mine went bald on top in his mid-20s, but he was otherwise a good-looking guy. Younger women weren't that interested in him anymore, but women a few years older than him were attracted to him, because he looked mature for his age.

I'm not an anomaly. Most women working in mainstream porn are under 30, because that's what most viewers want to see. And for that matter, look at Hollywood movies, particularly Hollywood movies aimed at men. How old do the female leads look in those movies? 20-something, typically. How old are most professional models, for that matter? Or female athletes?

Female and male athletes are mostly young, for obvious reasons.

As for what the media tells us, it's not an accurate description of reality. Actually it's a messed up vision of reality. If hollywood movies were an accurate description of reality, women over 40 would not exist (not as sexual beings at least) and a lot of other absurd things.

Anyway, I get that women in their twenties are considered to be more attractive since they are more fertile. But teenagers... just no. And it's still sad that you (and most men, according to you) would prefer a woman that doesn't look her age to a woman that looks her age - as would be natural.

I repeat though, in this thread I'm referring specifically to teen porn. This does include older women that look like teenagers. I think it's messed up for an adult to be turned on watching a person that looks like a kid having sex.

It seems like 50% or more of porn online is labelled as "teen" porn. Do most guys like to watch it? Aren't they disgusted/repulsed/enraged at the thought that the people involved are teenagers?

A few points here, not sure if any of them have already been mentioned as I haven't read the entire thread but here it is anyway.


1) Those women aren't actually teenagers, they are acting. You might find a few 18-19 y/o women but that is as young as they get, there's a lot of 25 y/o porn stars playing pretend.

2) Porn = fantasy and fantasies are harmless (in moderation, that is)

3) Most guys are attracted to younger women. If there is a biological explanation I would say it's the fact that women begin to sexually mature in their early teenage years and are at their most fertile before the age of 25, thus that range is when they are considered to be at their most sexually desirable to the opposite sex, generally speaking. There are exceptions of course, a 42 year old woman who takes great care of herself might still be sexier than a 20-something who abuses her body with alcohol and shitty food all the time but you get the point.

The human race has been around a very long time. 6,000 years if you believe certain fundamentalists, or more than 50,000 years if you believe the anthropologists. Until the late 19th century, humans of either gender were considered to be adults after puberty, and often got married even before that. So our modern concept of the appropriate age of consent is very recent and very arbitrary, having no basis in biology. Having been raised in modern times, I now find the idea of having sex with a teenage girl under the age of 18 to be distasteful and unwelcome (though I felt differently about it when I myself was a teenager, and I lost my virginity at age 15). But intellectually, I understand that there is physically no significant difference between a female who is 17 and a female who is 18, and our modern insistence to the contrary is an artificial construct of Victorian society that has become widely accepted due to the global reach of the British Empire of that era. Compared to the rest of human history, the modern age of consent looks like a statistical error. Or it could reflect changing attitudes due to longer lifespans, which is all around a positive development.

I am talking about our society right now. Right now, I believe it is safe to say that it's messed up to watch 14-19 year olds have sex if you yourself are much older than that.
