You would look much better without the facial hair and with a tighter haircut IMO

Don't shave if you like having a beard! You will look like a kid if you do Or a nark. Dear it's all about preferance. Women's taste in what they find attractive is all over the map.
Demographics plays a big part as well.....where I live neck bears, bears, weird sidburns, goats, etc are all the rage.....even those hilbilly beards are popular because of a TV show Duck Dynasty.

I don't think your look needs improving - definitely keep the facial hair and also that haircut.
