I fell in love with my best friend.

Hi everyone.
im currently going thru a situation, and i would like some advice. the title says it all.
I meet this girl last year. she is an amazing person. we have been there for each
other thru the hard times. she has dated other guys and i have help her get thru it and vice versa, but
lately my feelings for her have grown to the point where i know im in love with her. i have this feeling i cant explain.
my heart drops every time im with her. i can be myself. but i guess i fear rejections or losing
what i have now with her and making things awkward. I dont know what to do.

ask her out and if she says no-put a stop to the "friendship" and move on. and in future dont become best friends with a woman
