Given the amount of people who ask how to make a new thread, would you be able to put a button on the top of the front page for people to use? Perhaps a drop down menu for the appropriate forum.
Alternately, how about a button which links to 'how to make a new thread' instructions?

We have make a new addition to the forum to make "post new thread" easier now.
