To those who have found love, describe the moment you knew.

Describe the moment you realize you are in love with your partner. For some, it can happen really fast but for others it takes some time. At some point, you realize that you love this person. Do you remember how it happen? Was it something they said or did or a quality you see in them that made you realize it?

In the very beginning, we were talking about how we felt something was missing from life. I said it was like a missing puzzle piece. It turns out that is exactly how he had been describing it in his journal, which I had not known about. That's when we knew.

There was no particular moment. No epiphany. I just was.

I noticed they really listened to what I had to say and remembered something I had once said in passing but when they recalled it later when most wouldn't have even taken notice of it, I knew. This is the one for me. Not some big moment, more of a quiet I get it moment.

My wife fell in love with me long before I did, and she knew I didn't feel it. Eventually I realized how lucky I was to have someone who stuck by me for so long without any mutual reciprocation. I realized I was with someone I could trust and rely on. Kind of like what somehelp4me is saying; I think the love was there before I realized it and put it in words.
