    First Impessions, what to do?

I recently found out a girl at my school has a crush on me. I don't really know her much at all and I meet her in a few days. The problem is that I'm a kinda socially awkward and shy around people that I don't know.

I'm really nervous about meeting her because I've never had someone else have a crush on me. I'm also afraid that it will be awkward because her friends will alao be there.

What to do? Any advice on gaining confidence?

You don't have to rush in and have a conversation. Just start by smiling at her when she walks past. If you do this a few times and she smiles back continuously, then up the ante by saying "Hi" when she walks by. If after doing all this she seems friendly to you, then starting a conversation won't seem so awkward.

Do you share any of the same classes or other activities?

Anyways why not chat with her on FB for awhile before you go up to her and introduce yourself in front of her friends. Get to know her that way, then hopefully you two can meet up alone in the hallway.

A mutual friend of ours told me.

Also, I would chat with her on FB but she doesn't use hers anymore.

Write your number down on a piece of paper and get said mutual friend to give it to her.

I won't see the mutual friend of ours until I see her, though. I'm gonna try what basil suggested if possible. Thanks for the comments, though.
