If you are banned from a forum and sneak in under a different user name, the modz and admins often catch it.
Even if that didn't happen - most forums do not take real lightly to noobs going in and stepping on toes. The regulars often get more leeway with rules but the noobs and infrequent posters - not usually.

I may have called a few people doormats or co-dependent and called one or two people a cunt (not the OP-their spouse who they were bitching about) but I cant believe I got banned. I was way nicer to people then I am sometimes on this forum and Ive never even gotten a warning!

    Like WTF!
I think most people on the internet don't want tough love off a virtual e-stranger, hard enough to take it off a loved one.
That is why you probably got banned, all the people you ' helped ' reported you, had to be more than 1 person to get you banned. Go back and look at posters names who you helped.

Some people really appreciate the bluntness. I dont see the point telling them what they want to hear. That gets them nowhere

How do you know this? Do you sit as a moderator on that board?

I LOL'd at the DR. Seuss pic.

Most websites I belonged to they only banned for nudity/porn or spam.

I agree with somehelp4me that more people would had to complain to the moderators or reported your posts, because you would have got a warning, not an outright ban since new, they were trying to keep the regular flock happy, maybe? New posters should be allowed to find their way amongst regulars, they should have PM'd you a verbal warning first to let you know how the forum runs instead of banning you right off.

Maybe the universes way of bringing you back here again

Nope... More then one does not have to have complained or reported her post to get her banned. If the mod on duty at the time got a report and reviewed her verbage as being against the rules, then that mod (after only one report) had the discretion to ban her. Some just give a warning first.. others just go strictly by the rules and put the banned hammer onto them swiftly.

What they "should" have done and what they do? They don't care what anyone thinks what they 'should do.' They have rules and they moderate accordingly.

Maybe it was the Universes way of telling her that One should feel out the neighbourhood, read the rules and try their best to abide before going in with both guns blazing?

Anyway, a question came to mind after reading the above poster, Michelle. Not that it matters but just curious. Did they give you a warning or two prior to banning you?

But even the mod would see your joined date and know she only just joined and cut slack, that is their choice.

Read over the reports, read her account and then warn her, maybe after they warned her and she still did what others didn't like then ban, but she didn't even know she was doing anything wrong because she speaks that way here and never got banned.

I would say, no, she got no warning or she wouldn't have been so shocked she got banned. They are extra strict on that website it appears. I hope you didn't think it was part of that curse? *hugs*

Tell us the forum, Michelle so we don't ever try to join it either. Lump of coal for them this Xmas.

Hell, I think I'll join it and post in my usual style and see if they ban me... should be fun.

Laugh my ****ing ass off. I am already a member of that forum... They do not take lightly to any foul language, disparing remarks to others, flaming or unhelpful posts that are opinion without solution. I have had one warning when I first arrived and recommended that the OP stop focusing on an ex and start living his life again like she is. Got the warning to stop flaming the poster. I took their advice and I've since moved up to platinum member.

I post there about once a week because they keep really old threads going and going and there are many who give very codependent thinking/enabling advice to people IMO. It's all there/there now kind of "dont beat yourself up" rhetoric.

I think they've actually taught me to not be as agressive without actually stopping the tuff love approach.
