    Depression

Has anyone ever suffered depression before. I constantly feel pissed off at the moment and down. Just cant seem to snap out of it. Im in a job that i hate and cant seem to get away from. Ive lost the desire to go socialising and drinking becomes a feel more pissed off if a drink. Just feel like life is passing me by

Yes, I have been on anti-depressants for years.

Before concluding that it is depression, I think it's important to try and change the bad bits in your life if you can. What's holding you in your job? What's the employment situation like in the UK at present?
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Personally, I've lived years of my life with what can often be called a "functional depression." In other words, I function just fine. I go to work (or school, back in the day) I socialize with people, and so on. A lot of people would never even know I suffer from depression. I've never felt the need to seek therapy or medication. Though, honestly, therapy could probably help me, at least somewhat.

I've been able to rise out of it in general, but it still hits me from time to time. I've kind of been hit lately. There has just been so much good in my life, that I have kind of started to freak out, expecting it all to blow up.

I think we all suffer a little from time to time. If you ever get to the point where you feel it is too much, you should never be ashamed to seek help. In my opinion, it is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of great strength in being able to admit you need a little help. If you don't feel the need to seek help, per se, then just lean on your loved ones. Friends, family, the people who truly care about you can help more than you can ever imagine, even if they don't know you are struggling, and don't even realize they are helping. Good luck, my friend.

There are many depresion levels. Life is about finding what makes you happy. Therapy or falling in love can help to find these things. Apart of boring job there must be dreams and picture of better future. Also some people have jobs that they are not in awe about but they have hobbies that they love. Sometimes you have to do thins that you dont like before you can do what you want(discipline is key for sucsess sometimes). What is your passion? What you like to do when you dont have to do anything?
Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will
