I did see that. All the more reason I feel like he was somewhat justified in his reaction. Though, I still say name calling, in general, is something you should try to avoid. But, there is one extreme example of my point. He reacted emotionally to what was a very upsetting situation. Who wouldn't in a situation like that, and when you act emotionally, sometimes you do or say things you normally wouldn't.

Heck, even if she was just out with this guy as friends, the fact that she felt the need to lie about it is very telling. Personally, I'd have trouble trusting her after that. If it was truly just as friends, why would she feel the need to lie about it? So that, to me, is a major red flag. Either way, good luck, OP. I hope things work out, even if "thinks working out" means you leave this girl and find somebody who will appreciate you.
