Confused about a guy I met online

So I met this guy on this app a couple weeks ago and we've been talking ever since. We've webcammed and talked on the phone several times but we have yet to see each other. We live two hours away from each other. Because of work arrangements and financial reasons on his part we haven't really had the chance to see each other in person. At the start of this week when we spoke, he said he would try to come see me this weekend but he hasn't mentioned anything of the sort. He is very sweet but as of lately, these past few days we haven't really been talking like we usually do. Our conversations/texts have been very brief. He's working on some project, I understand that. However, it only takes like a second to send out a text. Last night he was working on his project and he said he would try to call me if he got a chance but he never did... So I'm just wondering if he lost interest, maybe he found someone else or maybe he really is in fact busy? I don't know. What should I do? I really do like this guy. How can I regain his interest, if that's the problem? He seemed so into me, I just don't understand what happened

Here's a hint: YOU SHOULD LOSE INTEREST in him. He hasn't got the money or the time to see you on a regular basis so why would you even consider getting yourself emotional invested in someone who will not have the means to be with you?

Stop talking to him altogether and find someone who actually has the time and the means to actually see you enough to bond with you.

Like I said OP... the guy doesn't have any time for you nor does he have the financial means to come and see you as often as you'd like a boyfriend to. That is enough for you to start distancing yourself from him and setting your sights on someone who will have time and is close enough to be able to do the things that one must do in a relationship for the two people to bond nicely and for the relationship to succeed.

Its simple common sense that Hot4you is just too dense to understand. Don't you be.

No, it counts for nothing because if he's not in a position to date then he shouldn't be dating. I'm not saying that she should expect that he pay for everything... What I'm saying is that he is in no position to be dating unless its someone that he can walk to or meet half-way. What good is this relationship going to be if he can't come out regularly to see her, particularily when she's already (before they've even met) being inpatient and angst ridden?

Stop being a dick just for the sake of being one.

    **** you're dumb.

No I'm saying the distance is not conducive to her having a good relationship with him under the present circumstances. Particularily because he hasn't any money to see her. "Due to Financial restraints (whoops "reasons") on his part."

Now. Go and masturbate to porn or something. Obviously you're bored and looking stupid on the internet isn't anyway to remedy that.

If anyone is looking stupid here it's you.
You've successfully shown what a gold digging slut you really are.

Maybe I should expose your stupidity to the community you live in.
It seems like the only way you're going to learn a lesson is by being labelled the town retard.

Sorry for the derail of your thread, valerie

I would probably agree with hotforyou on this one, sometimes people get swept up in projects and become so focused that they forget everything else, and this isnt a diss on you, its just the way that attention works, especially if something that could boost you in some way is involved. He is likely busy but wishes to see you.

Exactly...^^^ and thank you for proving my point. he's too busy to see you. So, don't wait around for him... there are other fish in the sea and you shouldn't invest anything in a "fish" that's too busy to see you or talk to you regularly...

so he shouldn't have a job to date? a lot of people become devoured by work well atleast you should if you are passionate about what you do, and even if not, you still get paid for doing said work, being busy is a part of life, so is the attention that can only devote itself to one thing at a time(if you multitask to are really just splitting your attention and not doing either as well as you could be)

It could be anything: Another girl who's piqued his interest...or he's lost interest in you...or he's too busy to date. But no matter what the cause, the result is still the same- you need to figure out if this suits you.

From where I'm sitting, he's just a guy who you've known a very short time and haven't even met yet. Suggest you don't get yourself too keen on someone you've had very limited exposure to. Cynicism is a good thing to keep in the back of your mind in the very early days.

Keep your mind open to dating others and see where it all ends up.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

He has no time OR money to even meet up AND now he's not keeping in touch. How much info do you genius' need to figure out this guy is not worth this girl's effort right now?

Imma - now there was an expert. A brilliant combination of insulting and funny.
