How did you meet your partner?

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I'm a student of journalism in London. I've been asked, at school, to write a feature story about "How you met your partner".
It should be an unusual or bizzarre story.

I don't have a current partner but my ex and I met through friends.. I trust friend hookups more so than online or clubs etc. so I agreed to hang out with him and we hit it off. I'm sure others on here with actual partners have exciting stories to share with you though.
