The Hobbit book is pretty boring imo, I liked the movie better. From Cage's movies I really hated Knowing (WTF plot twists).

Lol politics decided that she would win the Oscar. Politics also awarded it the Oscar. To me, it is an affront to deeper war movies like Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now. It definitely fits the aggro war movie of today's aggro male, Rage Against the Machine-level political naivete. But I'm not that much of a negative a-hole anymore, so simply put: I have a problem with it on a personal level because it doesn't conform to my limited vision.

ok, i get you, and your beef with it now. it probably was politics that got it its win that night. but for me i think cameron needed that ego blow, i think he made avatar wanting the oscar. full metal jacket is a great movie, and i agree hurt locker isn't in the same league, but nonetheless a good movie.

Cameron wrote his first draft on Avatar in 1994 and then he had approximately 15 years to better the plot, but noooo, he made a very predictable boring plot.

Yeah, but it's too often seen. Reminds me of an incident where critics that gave a bad review to the movie The Dark Knight Rises were getting death threats lol. It's just a stupid thing to say based on the conversation theme imo.

The Host wasn't a good movie, not the worse but I expected more and was disappointed. Mama was bad too.
