Why is how many characters someone uses in their opening post an issue LA? If they have "walls of text" we will ask them to shorten it down (which we do on the odd time that walls of text appear). How is limiting their Opening post helping you as the owner of this site or the forum in general? Perhaps if we understand why you're doing what you're doing it won't seem so counter-productive to us all.

Well if that is actually the case, if all the news articles are removed from the right hand side of the home page, then he could sell advertising space there where it won't be intrusive but will be visible to anyone who is actually interested in what is being slogged.

I would go to a new forum if you all go. I don't like limits on what are supposed to be free forums.
If LA is pissed about walls of texts, then how about posting something in the rules about making PARAGRAPHS when people are posting a long post?
