How long should I wait to contact her after an argument?

My gf and I of 2 yrs got into a really big fight for the first time...we talked...I apologized, she said she wanted to break up, I asked her to give me another chance...she said "I don't know" and that she's deeply hurt and can't talk to me right now and needs time to heal.

When should I contact her again?

give it a few days,ask her to give you some sort of clue when she feels ready to talk,tell her you will wait for her to let you know all may be well.if she dosnt contact move on mate

Yes, give it a few days and then just send some simple texts or instead call her and if she picks up, tell her your checking up on her and want to know how she is. If you can slowly build that up and she begins to talk then that should give you the opportunity to sort things out. Remember, her emotions will fluctuate however if you show care it can be a game changer.
