Absolutely not. I have never personally believed in dwelling in the past. When a relationship ends it generally ends for a reason. I'm not going to say this is ALWAYS the case, but in the vast majority of cases, it is better just to move on completely. It is not healthy to cling to relationships of the past. Beyond some exceptions (such as if you have children together) there is little to no reason to stay in touch with an ex. Personally, realizing how bad my ex was for me (and from the more I learned about her AFTER we split, how bad a person she was in general), was a HUGE part in my own personal growth. In starting to finally appreciate myself like I never have before. To allow her any part in my life, no matter how minimal, would be to spit in the face of all that progress I've made. Of the much stronger creature I have now become.

Thank you, GLYC. To be honest, I am happy with myself these days... or at least happier than I have ever been. Nothing will ever change, though, that I have never and will never feel like I belong. Instead I have learned to accept that and move on in spite of it. There are good days and bad days. But, such is life, I guess, Life is mainly just fighting your way out of the bad days and enjoying the good days while they last.

Anyway, back to the game...

Have you ever been to a comic con?

Hm, yes, I can relate to that sense of not belonging.

I was never good at sports, or super interested in most of them and definitely grew up as more of an introvert, and playing video games. Even within my own family, during holidays in my photo albums, I was always holding up Star Wars toys as high as I could during Christmas. None of my family was ever interested or really ever tried to be about that stuff, the horror movies, fantasy stuff, etc.

The reality is, that's such a minor thing, I think people get a self fulfilling prophecy with that.
People don't think they belong, so they seclude themselves more and hold more of themselves back.

When, what they should be doing is building themselves up. And becoming a better version of themselves.
I think people like me, a lot of people kind of closed themselves off entirely, versus going out and trying to change their reality. Which, is just about taking little steps, getting a little better everyday. Finding a way to get a better career, trying to take care of their appearance (which, it's our vessel on this life, we should take care of it), taking some risks here and there. Taking advantage of situations.

Some people just write off their lives, and say, I'm like this, so I can't do anything or be attractive.
Nerds are stereotyped to be socially awkward, unsuccessful with women, unattractive, etc.

Like you watch the Big Bang Theory, they purposely try to make those guys look as awkward as possible.
When it doesn't have to be that way. But you watch a sports movie, the Quarterback is always the popular guy, that gets the hot girl etc. He's masculine, driven, etc .

But if Brad Pitt was playing Dungeons and Dragons would he never get a girlfriend?
That's totally false. Now if Brad Pitt only played D&D, and did nothing else. Settled for a low quality job, gave up on his health, and sat inside all day just playing D&D, then yes.

When in reality, the motto should be, keep kicking ass and improving your life. Build your own empire.
Become successful, focus on your career, your health, do things that excite you, live a balanced life, etc.

Besides, it's better to be amazingly different than just be like everybody else anyways.

I actually think a lot of women would like to hang out with a confident, dorky, quirky guy that has a well balanced life. A guy that knows who he is, what he wants, and has healthy boundaries and good health. People like that are fun to be around.

The idea of sitting on a couch watching ESPN all day is probably the most boring thing to me imaginable.
Not bashing people that are into that (I like watching some ports occasionally, mostly MMA).
But something like watching football all day, everyday, it's just not for me. And I happily embrace that.

And I haven't been to comic con. Im not as super involved with that stuff anymore, but I would like to attend that at least once, I think it'd be fun. Definitely on my to do list for one day.
I did, however, see Deadpool 2 the other day. It was really really good.

Ps, I know you weren't asking for advice, and I'm not trying to give you advice. Just rambling about the topic, because I enjoy that one.

Have you ever been snowboarding or skiing?

No biggie. I enjoy the conversation. And I appreciate the thoughts. Hell, I even 100% agree with almost everything you said. Just, unfortunately, none of it works for me. I've done all that and even that doesn't work. So, these days, I'm STILL doing all that (taking better care of myself, working out, eating decently healthy, getting out now and then, etc.).... I'm just doing it FOR ME. The alternative just doesn't work for me, so it is better I accept it rather than fight it.

Even so, I still believe with every fiber of my being that it CAN work for others. So, I echo your sentiments even if it has never been my own personal experience.

Anyway, I have been snow-tubing, but never skiing or snowboarding. Since you came right after me, I generally like to pass the question back along, so I will do that again this time.

GLYC Thank you, always appreciate kind words. I think TheEvilJester missed my comments regarding him.

Yes, I have a picture in my profile album of my sister and me on a ski day. I have tried snowboarding too, and I am not as good at that as I am with skating and skiing.

Oh, sorry Topaz. I dunno how I did miss that.

Thank you. But you forgot evil, diabolical, monstrous, spicy, and excellent break-dancer. (Okay, those last two are a lie. LOL!)

Maybe strangers online see something in me I don't, but humans in the real world want nothing to do with me. Have no interest in even bothering with me in the slightest. And, these days, I'd honestly prefer that anyway.

Creating "top 5" or "top 10" or "top 83" lists has always been really difficult for me. For example, this one... I have plenty of things I cherish, but I just don't know how I'd list them... so I'll just pass that along to the next player. I was really just responding because I'd missed your earlier comments anyway.

They argued way too much and never sought to better it, or get counseling.

Who on the forum is most likely too on each of these scenarios?

Own the most pets?

Act on a crush?

Be addicted to porn?

Make a good detective?

Make a good parent?

Drive an expensive car?

Gossip?

Become a celebrity?

Umm... yeah, somebody broke the game. Way to go, guys. I've only been gone a few days and we break things. The point of this thread is to answer the question above you then ask a new question for the next player. LOL! I'll get us back on track with a new question.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush? (If you can't pick just one you can list a few of your biggest celebrity crushes.)

I forgot to play. Oops!

I like Evan Peters, and Kit Harrington are two I like I think I included into that thread I wanted loveadmin to open up but ignored my thread about it. I also find Tom Hardy attractive too.

What is your ethnic mix background? ( not sure if I worded that right)

Scottish, English, Dutch. Want to take DNA test to see the exact breakdown.

What are your thoughts on what was written to me and then to breathe123 ( for defending me) in this thread? Interesting how they never attacked smackie poster though, hm.
I removed them off my friendslist, that to me wouldn't be considered friend or friendly.
