Interested in a girl that I've known for a few years - a bit complicated

Hi, dear LoveForum-Members.
I am a bit (and by that I mean pretty damn much) lost.
There's this girl who I went to highschool with. We were friends but we were not dating.
However we have now been attending different universities for 3 years and we barely see each other.
The only time I see her is during our annual class reunion.

Now I'm not sure how it happened but recently I developped feelings for her but I do not know whether or not she's interested.
I'm also not even sure if she has got a boyfriend or not.
Yesterday, during our class reunion, she seemed to laugh about pretty much every stupid joke I made and I thought I saw some signs that she might be interested which could also be a coincidence.

Now I'm not sure how I should proceed without making a fool of myself. Should I just contact her and ask her out?
