Asks about money on 3rd date

Ex gf asked about my salary on third date and nearly rushed out of the bar cause I refused to tell her. Is this normal or should this have been a red flag she was only into the IDE of a relationship for what she cud get

Yes, slight red flag. Although many people, both men and women often wish to know one's prospects, imo, asking so soon or being so bold lacks tact and taste.
Question like "what do you do for fun" or "are you happy with your work?" are more along the lines of one that doesn't care what one is worth.

Red flag, gold digger status? None of their business at that early stage what your income is, IMO.
