How do I invite myself to her house?

Hi, please give me some advise.
(it's about friendship not love)
I met a girl at a church event and we really hit it off and I think we could become great friends.
She lives about 1 hour train ride away.
we talked on facebook around November,and I said I'd love to meet up and hang out.
she said sure,and we decided we'd bake together (at her house) cause we both like baking!
anyway, she said she's going to be in New York though until January.
now its mid February and she hasn't said anything. and I really want to hang out. lol
so I'm going to send her a facebook message,I don't know what to say,it's a bit embarassing somehow.lol
Please give me tips!

Why don't you invite her to your house? If you can do that then it needn't be awkward for you in the least. If she makes an excuse or turns you down outright without making another date or asking you to come to her place instead then forget about her and get yourself out there doing things that will introduce you to more people then just her.

I'll ask her if she'd like to come visit me.
that's much less awkward than having to ask if I can come visit.
