How to start a conversation with a girl of FB that I know and talk irl?

Basically there is a girl that I like, we talk to each other before class about how was our day, some crazy stuff we did in summer, etc we sit near each other etc ... nothing serious, basic things I discuss with my friends ... but besides that we haven't talked that much on FB and I would like to get to know her a little more since we only meet twice a week We use FB practically to ask what pages is the homework from, missing notes, etc. The majority of the time I get the excuse that I misplaced my homework sheet and ask her if she has a minute to send it over. Long story short she IMMEDIATELY leaves what she is doing and sends it over ... which IMO seems that she has interest in me (correct me if I'm wrong). Yesterday I sent her a text asking for some notes and I even offered her if she would like a template of a project she was doing and as I sent it over to her she was really grateful.

So I was thinking of starting a conversation like this:

Me: Hahahahah we'll see who'll win tonight I'll bet you'll lose (a text I was suppose to send to my friend).

Her: Sry what?

Me: Oh sry wrong chat ... anyway how was your day?

Chat continues .....

What do you guys/girls think?

No no, no and NO.
The wrong chat trick is too old and way too obvious. Talk to her directly, if she is interested she will respond nicely, dont act like you didn't want to talk too her, don't make a love confession either. I suggest something more like:

Hello

(and so it continues as a normal convo) Relax and let it be

The "wrong chat" thing is cringe-worthy, don't do that please lol

Just message her and say Hi. Ask her what she's up to for the weekend. Do you know of common interests you have? Possibly ask her to join you in something fun on Saturday or something like that. Don't pose it as a date if you don't feel comfortable with that.

FB is a great way to start conversations, but getting to know someone in person is even better
