Suggest, Watch and then Discuss a movie.

I would be ALL OVER that. I would love that. Though, in fairness, that does require people to watch two different movies. LOL! Not to mention a couple caveats....

1) The original was actually a mini-series, and I believe originally on TV, and therefore the whole thing is like 3 hours long.
2) I believe (I could have heard wrong) that the new movie is only going to cover the first half where they are kids, with a new movie coming (maybe next year) to cover the other half where they are adults. I could have heard wrong, but that was the rumor I'd heard.

Still, I'd be fine with this myself.

I'd be in for reviewing the mini series, which is easily accessed online or the newer movie when it is released... or even both... as a two part reviewing session.

topaz hasn't been back on here since her last visit if you check her profile and with all the spamming and forum disruptions it wouldn't have been any good to start a new season of the movie club but now it seems quiter and the forum works better. who wants to run the season for me? I have already run it twice, so I would personally prefer to let somebody else run it. It isn't that big a deal, though, especially if we have already made a selection. The hardest part, frankly, was the vote. No matter how we tried, we almost always wound up with a tie and had to break it somehow.
