My heart is not in my relationship

The guy I have been dating is a year younger than me, almost 2. He is the nicest and most caring person I have ever met. The only problem is I don't feel like my heart is in this relationship. I want to date him but I just don't feel anything towards him. He is basically head-over-heels in love with me. I've considered breaking up with him but i don't want it to end badly. Sorry if this is very incoherent. Please feel free to ask questions to clarify.

I think that for his sake, you might be better off breaking up. I know it will make him feel bad in the short run, but it's better than deceiving him and lying to him. He'll be happier in the long run. Think of it like this, doesn't he deserve someone who is head over heels in love with him, too? He sounds so nice so he deserves to be truly loved by somebody. You guys should stay as friends though, if he's happy with that. I think he deserves your honesty more than anything. It doesn't have to be a bad breakup, just explain to him what a lovely person he is, and explain everything about how you feel to him.

If you're feeling doubtful, I would just keep telling myself that HE deserves a loving, truthful relationship. That he deserves honesty😊
