So is Im not in a position to be in a relationship just a cop out for girls?

A girl figured out that i had feelings for her she asked me i said yes and then she proceed to tell me she isn't in a position to be in a relationship right now. What should i take from this?

Also a girl i asked out a about 5 months ago said she wasn't looking for a relationship and then got into one with another guy a week later

I would like to hear opinions about both of these situations.

Girls don't like to flat out reject a guy instead they give lame excuses to pacify the situation. So when you hear, "I'm too busy" "maybe" "let me check my schedule""I have too many family issues going on" "I just got out of a bad relationship" "I am taking a break from dating" "I'm not looking for a relationship or not ready for one" "I have exams" "I just got out of a relationship"...etc. it means "Not interested". Get used to it, that how girls break the news when they don't want to date you.
