I was going to send my best male friend flowers for his birthday, just because I really dont know what to get him.I told another friend what I was going to do and she said he may get the wrong idea.I guess my question is whats wrong with flowers, I could get him movie tickets since he loves to go to the movies, but someone else said he may think I am seeing if he will ask me to go with him.Why cant men and women be friends without everyone thinking there is something more.:annoyed:

I don't think the flowers are a good idea. Men act like they like that because they are sweet, but come on! Most guys would say flowers are for girls.
Get him the movie tickets if you like, and when you give them to him, tell him to use them when he asks (whatever girl he is crushing on) to go with him.
