One sided love

Please please please help me. I am in love with a person who did not love me but she cares for me.we are in the same college and i cannot avoid meeting her and her phone calls. I proposed her, and she says that she has no such feeling for me but she did not wants to break our friendship.But i still love her by heart .I don't know what should I do. I have tried everything to forget her but fails.She is my addiction.god please help me , help me please.

First, I'd like to say that I truly am sorry to hear what you are going through.

Having said that, I'd like to ask have you guys dated at all? I'm asking because you mention that you had proposed to her, but if you guys never really were in a serious relationship, wouldn't proposing to her be a bit premature/odd?

I'd be interested in a bit more details.
