I respect you for this. It's nice to see that you're willing to do this. I know I could never.. and I completely understand how you must feel jealous at times.
Don't really have any advice except.. if you can handle it.. cool.. if not.. don't hesitate to move on.

I don't think we were trying to belittle you for being young, just that no matter how 'mature' you think you are at 24, you are still lacking life experience that is helpful in relationships and child rearing. Disagree all you want, but you will realize it to be true a few more years down the road.
Anyhow, if you are going into this with this right intentions and the right frame of mind, then I hope it turns out for you. It takes a lot to want to not only take on a relationship, but also a child with the package. I for one could not do it. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.
