I hate this feeling of insecurity :(

Be cautious than Sorry, good words which I hope we can follow. Being naive is not bad but I do not like to fall in the same trap more than 5 times... hahaha ... that is what always happens unfortunately!. Still I cant say that i am insecure but I call it honesty and faithfulness with one's self and others. I can't see anything in the world that deserves to put anyone in a situation he/she has to lie or hide his/her emotions.

I'm in the same boat. Trying get over a no-good ex who manipulated me...so I totally empathize with your posts. For a week now, I've been resisting the urge to ask my friends if he talks about me or not. Yes, I'm curious, but it only brings me down when I find out anything about him, so I don't bother.

Maybe it's time to try out a new forum. Or just come here more often :)

They didn't end on their own he ended it, it wouldnt have required force for me to make it work, I was blissfully unaware until he cooled off that he didnt feel the same.

It's for the better that it worked out this way. Think about all the opportunities you now have, now that you're no longer tied to this guy.

He's a Lesson Learned, nothing more. I, also, am divorced-with-kid and I totally get where you're coming from. In my experience, your intuition gets stronger, not weaker, the older you get. You saw this coming a mile away. Don't let it get this far next time.
