nope...just saying 2 hours is not long distance IMO
As I said before, if it isn't practical to stop by after work on your way home for a short visit, I would classify it as long distance.Quote:

yea its just what ppl classify as long distance...my girl and i are 800 miles away...thats long distance
Okay, and I was over a 1,200 miles away from my girlfriend, that doesn't make it any more long distance. A plane ride 1,200 miles or 800 miles isn't going to cost all that much difference.Quote:

Like I said in a previous post, we went from a 3 hour plane ride, to a 3 hour drive's distance.
It still sucked.
You can't hang out for a little bit before bed.
You can't quick grab a bite to eat together.
You can't see a movie, or just hang out for a bit.
If you visit during the weekend, it's an ordeal. You don't just stop by. Not unless you don't mind burning all that gas and spending all the time on the highway.
Did the plane rides.
Did the car rides.
I can assure you it all sucks.
^^^ What he said. LDRs are horrible and they only work if you have the exit strategy firmly in place. Otherwise, it's like an emotional hemorrhage.
In your opinion, does it get easier to manage or tougher as it goes on? Right now, I'm just having doubts about her wanting to maintain it, just b/c I feel like she would rather be with some guy there every night than have to deal with not seeing me for a few weeks at a time. I don't really have anything solid to base this on, but I guess it's just a nagging feeling that she's looking for her next guy right now while keeping me along until she finds him. Which is obviously not a healthy attitude to have, but I'm hoping that as we go through a few months it'll pass as I can see whether or not she's actually comfortable with this.
