You hold down "ALT" then the numbers 164 then release "ALT" and you get: ñ
Maybe you tried it with the number pad and you didn't have Num Lock on.

autumn and fall are synonymous. we call it fall because the leaves fall from the trees. the more technical word though is autumn.
