Guys are under more pressure to try drugs, have sex earlier, and join in dangerous behaviors. Futhermore, society doesn't expect much from women. All you have to do is attract a mate and have children. Such a hard life.
Unfortunately, that would probabbly mean the woman would have to take birth control pills, which would likely lower her sex drive, and men would still be bitching.Quote:

WOW, this thread has gone so many differnet ways..and to clarify to Cybog.. we are still generally on topic!
Neo, you stated men go to war and you would rather have a baby then have your legs shot off, incinuating women don't go to war or deal with any of that stuff. And why can't guys understand women face similar issues in peer pressure as well. It's the same for both sexes. We are also called names or labeled as losers for not doing things are doing differnet things. And last time I checked, both sexes had problems with drugs, having sex, and doing things that are bad. I mean come on haven't you ever heard of guys pressuring virgin girls to have sex with them, not to mention their own sex ppressuring them as well. Like I said before everyone thinks it harder for them. Because they will never Trully understand!
Cybog, I believe things in life that are worth it are worth the temporary pain and anguish to achieve them but maybe that's me. Add I agree with shh, about the vasectomy...
Giving bad advice is my purpose here. Through me will only finally people realise that "good" advice doesn't exist. Hey Mr.meh, how does dating work in Europe? is there a law on this?
Yea,......me too...Quote:

Ummmm....I had my first paper route at 9, started babysitting at 12 and have worked jobs since I was 15. I've never ever relied on a man for my money. That would be foolish. This isn't 1920.Quote:

Get over yourselves. You're all trying too hard to be right. The effort just just blinds you.
Come on dawg, I know what you're saying but don't act like girls don't have similar peer pressure to be as pretty, as thin, as sexually active as their peers, as well. Young girls are BRUTAL to each other. If a girl isn't up to par with fashion, or if she doesn't sport a certain look - those girls can be straight vicious to one another.Quote:

But if you're Bobby D, and you have a bunch of jerkoff friends who are gonna rag on you for not getting laid every weekend, or call you a pussy for not ridin the white train, and your moms is countin on you to go out and help pay the bills cause your daddy left you when you were young - and then Susie Q lives a pamper life as "daddy's girl" with tons of friends and being the popular one. Sure - in THIS situation maybe it is harder on the man.
But just flip it. Bobby D is captain of the football team, idolized by his friends and peers. Girls constantly tryin to get with him... mom's a lawyer, dad's a doctor - ridin a football scholarship to a prestigious University. Then you have Susie Q who has to deal with an abusive father, drug addict mother, and deal with guys constantly harrassing her as she walks home from school everyday by herself, all the girls at school torment her because they can see the beauty behind the sad young woman, and it intimidates them. Here it's harder to be the woman.
SITUATIONAL, PEOPLE!! You're not automatically born to have it harder or easier because you're a man or woman. To think otherwise is ... just stupid.
no, but you're automatically born to have to deal with all kinds of things the other sex doesn't. but you're right, it's not about who's got it harder in life, though. it's just about women having to deal with contraception and pregnancy while constantly being attacked for not having enough sex drive to fulfill their partners needs.Quote:

Not a law, but here we have things like love actually coming into play, which, from what I've seen on these forums and not only, isn't the case very often over there. Yes, I said love!!! :surprisedQuote:

See, now your insulting everyone on this thread, including people who ignored your first post. If you've noticed, a lot of posts are made by newbies that are too young to know what love is. I don't know where you come off saying none of us know anything about love, considering by your statement you haven't read any threads by any of the regulars, nor do you know anything about us. So your judgement is completely inaccurate and next time, get your facts straight before you assume!Quote:

That's just exactly it Tone. People need to stop whining about which sex has it harder in life, which race, which social class, blah blah blah.....Quote:

And I will clarify my statements. I have never said anything about woman having it harder or easier for that matter, than men. I was arguing the posts some men had made in this thread thinking woman don't deal with similar issues. Nor do i think anyone on here really said anything about themselves in particular so I disagree anyone was whining about how "their" life was any harder than anybody else.
But I agree with you if your speaking about people in general! :)
It was a response to Tone's statement, people in general, and also a few other people such as Neo who were claiming that men have it so much harder than women, because women only have to marry rich and have babies.
I figured as much Bluesummer, but I had clarify my post of course! You should know I'm argumentative by now... :)
I stand by my statements earlier. At least I gave examples that are unique to guys. Some of you cited examples that are mutual for both sexes while others chose to be politically correct. I firmly believe women are not held to the same degree of expectations as men. Seriously, I will change my mind if you convince me I'm wrong. I am not saying women cannot accomplish what men can. My point is that society doesn't frown upon you if you make very little money or display emotions in public. No one calls you a loser if you are a 21 yr old virgin. The comment I made about guys experiencing more peer pressure than girls came from my Wellness professor.
No honey, the reason I gave situations for females was because you stated those examples you gave were specific to men which they are not. Your not looking on the other side of this. Like I said before each sex has their own unique and similar circumstances but we can't say one sex is harder than the other because we truly can not understand due to the fact that we can't be both male and female (hermaphrodites excluded) and feel like a male and feel like a woman at the same time... get what I'm saying?Quote:

Poor men suffer to the same extent as ugly women. Neither gender has cornered the market on suffering.
What the hell is a "wellness professor"? It sounds like psychobabble to me.
i dont like how girls think they have it so bad when they actually have it pretty good. and i dont like how guys just dig themselves in deeper holes and blame it on pms.
and now i dont know why guys and girls like eachother.
thankyouverymuch.
wow, what a thread.
I very much agree with everyone (Tone and RoseB, I think it was) who's said that you can't say either sex has it 'harder' than the other in life.
throwing stuff like "you only have to marry and have kids!" and "we must go to war" is just silly. I had to stop myself from ranting about why those arguments are silly on so many levels..
I have to say though, when it comes to contraception and having kids.. women do seem to have a rough deal there.
and to finish off, a cute story:
when I was little I thought about it and decided it'd be better to be a boy. Then I realised that they have to shave their faces when they grow up, and I changed my mind ^.^

EDIT:
I found a good article on the female sex drive:
http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/womenshealth/features/sexualdesire.htm
though wjmay said her drive disappeared after she started taking the pill, and shh! said it can take over a year to come back after stopping the pill, so it seems to be obvious what it is (?)
OK So I'd like to hear from the original poster, now we that got that debate moved into another thread!
Have you taken any advice into consideration, or come up with any ideas as to what you might do?
Man I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I've been married over 10 years and the sex is better. If your wife isn't having sex with you she is having it with someone else.
Ha ha lilwing! Good one. I always wonder this too!Quote:
