Re: gender-specific -- probably. Women have a larger corpus callosum, which is responsible for the neural connection between hemispheres, therefore their intuition is better developed and more reliable than that of men.
On average, of course.
I what?
You told me what you birthday was.. and well that was a lie.. so now you want me to guess? Why? so you can tell me another lie?
"March 2, 1983"
From MVPlaya's profile. You impudent liar. (Oh, behold, more assaults!)
Yeah, women are also more linguistically inclined, thereby, better at interpreting body language, learning languages, and multitasking, where men are more mathematically inclined, having strong spatial reasoning and logical computation skills.

Funny.. that wasnt there before.. once again point proven.. I hate being lied to!
Even if that were true, what would that have to do with anything?Quote:

Well, you're dealing with gender specificity and argue that women have larger corpus callosum's, therefore, more intelligent, therefore, astrology is more valid because women are better at knowing these things. I argue from a different angle that men are mentally (on average) better off from a different respect, therefore, casting into doubt the thought that gender-based intelligence validates a theory.
Not at all what I argue. Read again.Quote:

I counter intuition, the inductive, with logical computation, the deductive, based on scientific observations of intuitive (inductive) reasoning.
Rockin'.
MVP, give up. If you're trying to debate the strengths and weaknesses between men and women it's inevitable you're just going to get embarassed at how low us men really are compared to women.
Well I don't know if I agree with that statement Zekk, but there are def. advantages and disadvantages.
Which is why Men Are From Mars/Women Are From Venus is such a good book...
No, I'm not arguing the strenghts and weaknesses in order to prove that one gender is better than the other, I'm saying that gender is not not something we can use for either end to validate or falsify an argument.
I don't believe in gender-based supremacy at all.
I believe women are a superior gender to men. That's just opinion though.
heres one that will agree. Ice is right with the larger brain! Knowing that, and that men do have the more spacial mathematical thing going on, it explains why some or most men dont get the social aspects of things. They may think they know, but they dont. And I stress most men, not all.
When you look at MRI images, there is a huge significant difference in our images.
I was gone for awhile, but I'm guessing he's a leo, my boss is one, and so is well, lets just say MVP fits the profile.
WHY would you lie about your age MVP? What is the big deal?
I'm a leo...whats that make me?
About MRI tests, mens brains are substantially larger than women's brains, Ice isn't arguing size, shes saying the corpus callosum is more developed, which is true, women are excellent multi-taskers, men are excellent multi-procrastinators. On the point of brain-size, total size of brain does not equate with higher IQ, that theory has been disproven a long time ago.
Btw., Zekk, research by a Nobel Prize winning biologist concluded that Gay men have features in their Corpus Callosum strikingly similar to the construction of females. This Nobel Prize winner was gay by the way.
TAURUS
LEO
MVP I was stating I agreed with what Ice said, and put in another thought. I'm not arguing with anyone, but as many things as we can say this or that theres always something or someone that can probably discredit it from some damn university somewhere. I didnt say brain size was relevant to what was being discussed. Just that there are a lot of differences, thats all.
Innova-you dont fit the profile of a Leo, hell no.

We'll see lol, but thanks for comforting me, been a rough couple of days as you know.
Pisces are cute, really. I like that sign. But I'm a vain libra and like to get all the attention, so most likely Pisces are always in the 'passenger seat'.
Of course, Libras make excellent chauffeurs!Quote:

I have to agree...
Being a pisces myself, .. I never take back seat unless someone is chauffeuring. ;)
j/k Killa
I agree, because as a Libra, I want and need to be in the drivers seat at all damn times...
*eyeroll*
For the metally disabled: "passenger's seat" is a figure of speech. And for your information, I don't even know how to drive. And I'm not really desperate to start driving because I'd chipped my tooth in a car accident more than 11 years ago.
You told me about that. You don't want your driver's license? It can be useful so that you're not dependent on others for transportation, + if you're friends are drunk you can take the wheel.Quote:

I'll be independent when I get a pilot's license. I'll be above all of you. And traffic jams.
Have good luck finding parking.
lol thats true, can't just land it anywhere. ;)
I went to flight school, wasn't for me though. I lost interest in it. However there is little greater than taking up a little cesna and being free. Oh well.
ha ha ha. all i have to say mvp better stay clear of me. ;)
The Wild Rose
Random Brutal Love Dreamer (RBLDf)
Colorful, but unpicked. You are The Wild Rose.
Prone to bouts of cynicism, sarcasm, and thorns, you excite a certain kind of man. Hoping to gather you up, he flirts and winks and asks you out, ultimately professing his love. Then you make him bleed. Why? Because you're the rare, independent, self-sufficient kind of woman who does want love, but not from a weakling.
You don't seem to take yourself too seriously, and that's refreshing. You aren't uptight; you don't over-plan. Romance-wise, sex isn't a top priority--a true relationship would be preferable. For your age, you haven't had a lot of bonafide love experience, though, and this kind of gets to core of the issue. You're very selective.
The problem is them, not you, right? You have lofty standards that few measure up to. You're out there all right, but not to be picked up by just anyone.
