muy bien! estas progresando!
okay now let's do comer (to eat). it's a regular -er verb.
for -er verbs, instead of -as -an, etc. you're going to use -es and -en.
yo como
tu comes
el come
nosotros comemos
ellos comen
it goes the same for regular -ir verbs.
let's use to decide (decidir)..
yo decido
tu decides
el decide
nosotros decidemos
ellos deciden
those are both regular -er and -ir verbs.
quiz 3: conjugate these verbs...
escribir (to write)
escoger (to choose)
(hint: in spanish g's sound like h's and h's are usually silent. so escoger sounds like escoher)
go...

how would you say:
i like
i need
to need- necesitar
yo necessito
tu necesitas
el necesita
ellos necesitan
nosotros necesitamos
i like is another lesson. i have to do something now but i'll come back to that.
thank you darling, how was your weekend?
it was pretty boring. just sat around home being a bum.
okay to like.
if you're saying you like something, you say me gusta ___________.
now if you're saying you like more than one thing (plural) you say me gustan ________.
to say "i like you" is me gustas tu.
me
te
le
les
nos
all those things go before a verb if you're relating them to someone or something else.
for example to say i need you you would say te necesito.
te- you
me- me
le- him/her
les- them
nos- us
we need them= les necesitamos.
they need us = nos necesitan
you need me= me necesitas
bueno?
nope i am lost completely now :)
okay that's all a bit advanced...
forget all of that.
let's keep working on verbs.
we did -ar verbs, we did -er and -ir verbs.
let's move on to irregular verbs.
there are some verbs where taking out the ar or er and adding on the appropriate ending doesn't work. with these verbs the word structure changes altogether.
here's some common verbs that are irregular...
ir- to go
tener- to have
venir- to come
i'll conjugate them, you memorize them...
ir- to go
yo voy- i go
tu vas- you go
el/ella va- he/she goes
nosotros vamos- we go
ellos/ellas/ustedes van- they/ you guys go
tener- to have
yo tengo- i have
tu tienes- you have
el/ella tiene- he/she has
nosotros tenemos- we have
ellos tienen- they/you guys have
venir- to come
yo vengo- i come
tu vienes- you come
el viene- he comes
nosotros venemos- we come
ellos vienen- they come

did you practice your irregulars?
si maestro, es dificil.
necesito mas tiempo to remember.
donde esta maestro?
yo cuento nuevo letras.
that would be maestra.
irregular verbs are a big challenge.
so in spanish there are 4 kinds of verbs. -ar, -er, -ir, and irregular.
practice those.
nouns...
in spanish every noun is either feminine or masculine. el is masculine, la is feminine.
el hombre- the man
la mujer- the woman
el cajon- the box
la mesa- the table.
usually nouns that end with -a have a la in front of them and those that end in -o have an el in front of them, but not always!
for example...
el dia- the day
la noche- the night.
in spanish, day is masculine and night is feminine. don't ask why, it's just the way it is.
if you're using nouns in plural, then it goes like this...
los dias- the days
las noches- the nights
los cajones-the boxes
las mesas- the tables
las mujeres- the women
los hombres- the men

risa do you have a spanish-english dictionary?
Russia is half in Europe half in Asia. But Russian is a complete Proto-Slavic language. Proto-Slavic is the root language from which Czech to Polish to Serb to Russian originate from.Quote:
