The other night I was out, and just feeling a bit drunk and really confident. I was walking past this window and I saw this beautiful girl sitting on the other side. And I looked at her for a second, then I banged on the window and pointed at her (I was pretty drunk). Then I walked outside, and I was talking to some friends, and she came over!! haha, I never would have expected that to work. haha.... girls.

You know what... I rarely get approached by guys and I wonder why? I'm too nervous to say I'm interested in them.
All though recently I did tell someone on the internet I crushed on them.

This post is the reason why I'm always nice to any guy who has the nerve to talk to me. I can only imagine how nerve racking it would be, so I try to be as nice as I'd want someone to be to me if I were the one making the attempt.
i never make the attempt. i smile and let them do the work, i might help them along by carressing my neck as an indicator. it may not be fair but i personally think that women who approach men are more inclined to want to prove to the guy they like them, and the guy can then expect whatever they want from the girl (effectively the ball is in their court). in some cases the girl will sleep with the guy she just that day approached. i ain't that kinda gal.
I guess I am a little bit more tolerant of guys trying to hit on me. I wouldn't have been offended at all... then again, I am much more sympathetic to male's roles since I had a son.
I agree that it *almost* doesn't matter what he says when he approaches. The majority of interest is based on physical chemistry, anyway.
But this thread did remind me of the retarded guy working in the grocery store bagging groceries... he was very boldly staring at my boobs, to the point where I actually laughed out loud. The store manager chastised him harshly. haha

Being female, this tactic doesn't put you at a complete disadvantage... as is often imagined for a male. Because I'm still assessing the guy and I still have the option to decline him if I want. It also adds a more level playing field for the guy... it gives him the option to assess and decline if he so chooses as well.
